Performances Repertoire Rehearsals Costume Tour Company Travel Tips FORMAL COSTUME Long black pants and "dressy" BLACK top. Black top can have BLACK sequins. The top should be loose-fitting with three-quarter or long sleeves. The pants can be the same as you wear with the casual costume. CASUAL COSTUME Long black pants and black tank top of "slinky fabric" (acetate and spandex). ala Chicos, Travelers, and J. C. Penneys. Black and white shirt to go over the tank top. This shirt should be somewhat "dressy", not just a "plain, white button-down." This top does need to "sparkle" so don't look for sequins, rhinestones, etc. A black and white in "slinky" fabric would work well. In addition, some times we wear a casual black and white top other than the one for our Casual Costume. This happens when we are on tour and want to sing in a church or in front of a monument so we look like a group. It is good to have at least two tops. For both costumes, wear black closed-toe "pretty" shoes. black hose. JEWELRY Big white rhinestone jewelry, NO colored stones. You may wear a necklace or bracelet that matches, even a ring, just be sure it is white rhinestones. A lot of singers wear a necklace. Casual Costume Black and/or white jewelry when wearing black and white Casual costume. MAKEUP Heavy street makeup with Love That Red lipstick. Neutral eyes i.e. bone, brown, taupe NO false eyelashes, but heavy eyeliner and mascara Rosy cheeks Nails: neutral or French Manicure NO all in one Off black stockings: Knee highs are fine unless wearing a skirt. |
